Respect life office to host meetings throughout diocese for your input
The Respect Life and Social Justice Office, the bishop’s pro, life voice, extends a special invitation to the diocesan family to participate in a dialogue, “Where Do We Go from Here? The Challenge of Building a Culture of Life and Justice.
All of the gatherings are scheduled for Monday evenings from 6 to 7: 30 p.m.. Pizza will be served. Dates and locations appear below.

Next Advance Sept. 18
The next print edition of the Catholic Advance will be delivered on Friday, Sept. 18, to most of the diocese. The next electronic Advance will be emailed Friday, Sept. 11.

Messengers Bible Study begins Sept. 14
WICHITA – Persons with disabilities and their families and friends are invited to the first meeting of the year for Messengers Bible Study.
The all city meeting will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday Sept. 14, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Clare Hall.
Weekly Messengers Bible Study will then be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at both St. Francis of Assisi and Blessed Sacrament parishes starting Sept. 21, and ending April 26.

Via Christi charity golf tournament Sept. 14
WICHITA – The Via Christi Foundation will host the 29th annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 14, at Wichita Country Club, 8501 E. 13th St., Wichita.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mother Mary Anne Clinic, an after-hours and weekends immediate-care clinic for uninsured, underinsured and Medicaid patients, located north of Via Christi-St. Joseph (Wichita) Emergency Department.
The tournament begins Monday with morning play at 7:45 a.m. and afternoon play at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $500 per person and includes a 7 a.m. breakfast, lunch following morning play and dinner following afternoon play.
Morning awards will be presented at lunch. Evening awards will be presented at dinner.

Documentary on nuns to air Sunday, Sept. 13
The documentary, “Interrupted Lives-Catholic Sisters under European Communism,” will be released to ABC on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The Wichita affiliate, KAKE, channel 10,plans to air it from 1 to 2 p.m. on that date.
